Angels on meth...

A few months ago America crowned a new hero, and now we’re learning that she, like the man who held her hostage, had a few vices of her own. Turns out, Rick Warren’s, The Purpose Driven Life, wasn’t Ashley Smith’s savior after all—instead, it was crystal meth.

Smith, who was held hostage by Brian Nichols, the suspect accused of killing four people in a frenzy that erupted at a Fulton County courthouse last March, initially reported that she'd read Nichols passages from Warren’s bestseller, but now admits she gave him meth after he asked for marijuana...(read full story here)

Warren’s book sales spiked after the first reports were released, but now Smith is hocking her own deal, and to spice things up a bit, she’s going to tell the truth (The publishing biz says: Jesus is soooo yesterday). Interestingly enough, she will not be charged for possession or illegal drug use...

New Orleans A Stable Environment?

Here’s something you won't hear too often: the former residents of New Orleans might not have behaved so badly after all...a report released today suggests that after some preliminary investigation, officials are speculating that *gasp* people were exaggerating to get some attention from the media...but can we really blame them?
